Barilla Chickpea Pasta with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Shrimp and Chorizo

8 oz Barilla Chickpea Rotini pasta cooked
2 ½ oz fresh chorizo cut into 1” pieces
1 onion medium dice
¼ c yellow pepper medium dice
2 tbl garlic, minced
12 oz diced tomato can
2 tbl tomato paste
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 bay leaf
4 oz chickpeas can
1 tsp olive oil
6 large shrimp, deveined and peeled
Smoked paprika
¼ tsp smoked paprika

1. Cook your Barilla pasta as per package.

2.Cook your cut chorizo until lightly browned and remove from the saute pan, cook your onions, peppers until tender, add your garlic and cook for 2-3 mins.

3. Add tomato paste and cook for 2- 3mins.

4. Add diced tomatoes, bay leaves, salt, black pepper, chickpeas, and cooked chorizo and cook the sauce for 15- 20 mins.

5. Coat your shrimp with smoked paprika, Cook your clean shrimp in a saute pan with olive 4- 5 mins. Remove from heat.

6. Plate up your dish, place a layer 1/4 your pasta in your plate 4 oz of sauce, ¼ of your pasta 4 oz of sauce, and place 3 shrimp on top of your dish. Enjoy your Barilla pasta!
